Additional Information about Program
The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program at Mount Sinai Medical Center is accepting applications for one position commencing July 1, 2026.
The goal of this 1-year program is to provide the candidate with an outstanding training experience in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy. Under direct supervision of full-time GI faculty, the trainee will gain extensive hands-on experience in:
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic EUS
- ERCP, Ampullectomy, Cholangiopancreatoscopy
- Enteral stenting
- Complex fistula and stricture management
- Endoscopic mucosal resection & ablation (RFA, cryo)
- ESD, POEM, EFTR
- Complex polypectomy
- Endoscopy in post-surgical anatomy
- Bariatric endoscopy
- Transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF)
Overall, our fellows perform over 1000 complex endoscopic procedures under direct supervision
The trainee will be involved in the management of inpatients and outpatients on the GI service, and participate in GI division and multi-disciplinary conferences. The fellow is expected to participate in endoscopic research, present at locoregional/national meetings, and publish manuscripts, with the ultimate goal of continuing on to a career in academic gastroenterology.
