Additional Information about Program

The Pancreas & Biliary Center of the University of Pittsburgh Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is among the most influential pancreas clinical and research programs in the U.S., offering a multidisciplinary complement of clinical care and procedure acumen to a large patient cohort, all supported by a diverse translational research program centered on precision medicine, genetics and epidemiology. The UPMC Pancreas & Biliary Center offers a one-year, non-accredited fellowship for gastroenterologists interested in advanced study in ERCP, EUS, advanced pancreaticobiliary procedures and patient care. This program is geared toward an academic appointment, though the training experience will be adapted to individual goals and interests. The UPMC Endoscopy Advanced Fellowship is typically offered to graduating trainees from the Division’s internal Gastroenterology Fellowship Program through an Instructor of Medicine appointment. This arrangement enables advanced training complemented by salary support.
