Additional Information about Program

Banner’s Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship will be led by the Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Wahid Wassef, MD and will provide extensive training in a comprehensive one-year program to advanced endoscopic procedures. Trainees will receive hands-on training with ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection, enteral stent placement, and balloon enteroscopy.

The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship will provide hands-on training with a broad exposure to endoscopic therapeutic interventions including:
ERCP
Cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy
Diagnostic and therapeutic EUS
EMR
Balloon enteroscopy
Enteral stenting

Advanced fellows will also participate in weekly conferences including hepatobiliary conference, journal club as well as didactic sessions led by the faculty.
